i dream of the day people will understand that if someone wants to go on a diet or something, they don’t need to be bashed with the firey hammer of feminism rage because they are “brainwashed by society”. don’t get me wrong, the beauty standard is a bad thing that must be acknowledged, questioned, discussed, etc. but the decisions someone makes about their very own bodies are not (unless they ask your opinion!). those are their decisions and their decisions only. 

it is ok to:

• post body positive things 
• have a body positive speech
• post fat positive things 
• have a fat positive speech
• talk about how pro ana/pro mia is harmful 

it is not ok to:

• shame someone for going on a diet/exercising 
• police their bodies
• accuse them of being dumb, brainwashed, bland, anti-feminist, etc
• disrespect another adult’s/fully conscious person’s choices when they are not offensive or oppressive and concern themselves only 

Shaming someone for being on a diet isn’t feminism.

It’s just stupid.
