This is probably a really stupid question... but are you naturally blonde? Sorry if you've been asked a bunch already.

I AM naturally blonde, but it’s not nearly as light as I need it to be to put the pink in! My natural colour is a very ashy blonde, almost grey in terms of tone. Here, for comparison, the top photo is prior to bleaching, and the bottom one is after bleaching.

Two questions for you. First: As someone with dyed hair, is there an improper way of complementing said hair style that wouldn't be obvious at first glance? For example: sometimes I want to complement someone on their dyed hair and am worried about accidentally offending them by saying "I what you've done with your hair"/"You're hair looks nice". Second: Is the picture of you with blood down the side of your nose a makeup thing or the result of an epic brawl? Just curious.

It’s very considerate of you to ask and to be concerned! On behalf of rainbow coloured unicorn princesses everywhere, thank you.

Generally, I dislike like these kind of responses-

“Pink hair!”

“Your hair is pink!”

“Wow! Hair! Pink! You have!”

“That looks great on you, but you wouldn’t catch me dead in it.”

“That looks great on you, I see so many girls trying to pull it off and they look like shit. But you look great.”

“Your hair is pink!!”

When I’m at work I will nod along and laugh in a bemused fashion because being kind and accommodating is part of my job. But inside my head I am throwing shade, vast amounts of shade, you could make ice in the shade I am throwing. This is an example of an exchange that happened just a few days ago in class. It’s probably worth mentioning that the individual conversing with me had just prior to this interaction made several extremely sexist remarks, and throws every kind of slur around like it’s his own personal nerf football. So I wasn’t exactly pleased to be talking to him.

Classmate: Your hair is very colourful.

Angelina: Very observant.

Classmate: You don’t even say thank you?

Angelina: For what?

Classmate: Complimenting you!

Angelina: You didn’t. You said my hair was colourful. It is colourful. Even if it wasn’t intended positively you could have said my hair is colourful. You may as well have said ‘You have a nose’ or ‘You have two arms.’ The sky is blue. I’m not complimenting the sky right now.

Classmate: See if I ever compliment you again!

Angelina: Oh no, what ever will I do without your validation?

So in summation, I think that if you just consider about what you’re saying, it’ll probably be alright. Both of the things you’ve listed sound very nice if you ask me! Even when people shout “Nice hair!” at me, I say thank you.  But keep in mind, not everyone is comfortable with being approached in public. So if they don’t respond or they aren’t happy, don’t take it too personally. Just respect their space.

p.s. it’s just makeup!

You mentioned that you don't use heat styling tools, so does that mean your let your hair air dry? Regardless your hair is absolutely fabulous(:

Yes, I always let my hair air dry, whether it’s in curlers or braids or just down. The only time my hair gets near a blowdryer is when I’m getting my hair cut/styled, as I did today. ♡

I checked your hair FAQ, and I may have missed it, but I didn't see anything about styling products you use. Your hair always looks so soft and fluffy when you style it. The hair sprays I've tried all make my hair look wet, crunchy, or a mixture of the two. What hairspray/other product do you use for your styling? Feel free to ignore this if it's been answered! :3

My favourite hairspray is got2b’s 2 Sexy Voluptuous Volume Hairspray! It’s my tried and true golden can of magic. I love it.

I love your hair here! I can't seem to be able to do victory rolls. Any tips?

Victory rolls are easiest to do if you have medium length and thick hair. I have long, thin hair, so it takes quite a bit of work, but as you can see it’s doable. I suggest curling your hair prior to starting out, either with rollers or a curling or straightening iron. It’ll be even easier to style if your hair is dirty. Don’t expect them to look great the first time, generally you might have to style each roll more than once to get it to look right, and then you’ll have to play with it and pin it until it’s suited to your tastes. There are lots of really fabulous tutorials on youtube so I suggest taking a quick peek there as well.

I know how annoying it must be to get hair questions all the time but I've tried asking other sources and I'm just really in need of direction, and your hair gives me inspiration to deal with mine... but I just bleached my hair and am gonna dye it a light turquoise, would you happen to know how many parts conditioner and how many parts hair dye you use? I would really appreciate it so much!

I, like many other girls, do not have a specific recipe! And that’s how it should be. I eyeball it every time. Pour lots of conditioner or toner in a bowl, and add little bits of dye and mix them in. Do that until you get the colour you want! It’s really not rocket science. :)

when you dye your hair, do you dye the whole lot or just the roots? and does the color hold well?
Anonymous

Generally I just do the roots! My hair is perma-pink, the two-three months I go between bleaching my hair I don’t dye my hair pink at all and the colour never wanes or fades. To be honest I’m not sure if I could really get rid of it if I wanted to.

Please don't be grumpy at me for asking a hair related question but it's not in your FAQ...
How many jars of special effects/manic panic does it take to do the whole length of your hair? Manic panic jars are so tiny!

Do you use lots and lots of hair dye or do you mix it with conditioner to make it last longer?
Anonymous

I definitely mix it with conditioner sweets! It takes me quite some time to use up a whole jar of dye.

"expensive conditioner and detanglers and protectants." you've told us a million times before that there's no miracle product, BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WOMAN; whatever product you are using is WORKING.
please recommended/tell us whichever conditioner/protectants are working so amazingly.

Here’s the deal.

I would never, EVER, tell you to buy a product unless I was satisfied with the results it produced. In the past I have recommended products- got2B’s Sexy Voluptuous Volume Hairspray, Rimmel Sexy Curves mascara, as well as different makeup and skincare lines. I feel good recommending these products because I’ve bought them more than once, and they haven’t let me down.

I don’t feel comfortable telling you the products I use, because

1). I rarely use the same products from one day to the next

2). I have never liked a product enough to buy it again

If I DO find a product I like, I am quick to share it with all of my followers, because I genuinely want them to reap the benefits I have discovered. I know a lot of girls struggle with dry, damaged hair as I do, so I want to help this community of girls through my personal experience. It would not benefit these girls to tell them to buy products just because I buy them. It would benefit them to inform them on products that I have been impressed with.

I hope that clears things up a little.

This is how my hair looked immediately after removing the Curlformers. It is probably worth mentioning that they did not stay this nice for long.
I have mixed feelings about them. I don’t know. I need to go pick up another pack so that I have the proper sizes for my hair and then I will write a proper review.
